Vojackova and Horak extend slopestyle EC lead
With back-to-back wins at the double slopestyle event in Strbske Pleso, Slovakia, Katerina Vojackova has been able to extend her lead in the slopestyle Europa Cup standings with only one more event to go this season which is staged in Corvatsch, Switzerland mid of April.
In the first contest, the Czech riders edged off Malla Partanen (FIN) and Ekaterina Kosova (RUS) to second and third while Kosova took the second rank in the second event with Eva Kralj (SLO) rounding out the podium as third.
Vojackova has 1,845 points and is looking pretty comfortable to take home the EC title and a guaranteed personal spot on the 2016 World Cup tour having a lead of 170 points over Kosova (1,675).
In the men's event, Petr Horak defended his EC lead (1,500) against Petar Gyosharkov (BUL, 1,375) with a second and third rank finish.
Gyosharkov however was able to win the first event while Emil Zulian (ITA) came out successfully of the second event.
