While the men who had the later slot in the afternoon were able to compete for some of the spots for the finals and also determined those riders entering the semis, the girl's qualification heat had to get cancelled due to the conditions beforehand and will be rescheduled tomorrow.

Luckily, the weather got better after a long interruption of the women's event so the jury decided to bring down the bigger field of male riders.

Eight of them made it directly to Saturday's finals with Janne Korpi (FIN) earning the day's high of 95.00 for his run on the course consisting of a three-kicker line and two rail sections to finishing things off.

Darcy Sharpe (CAN), also from heat 2, came close with 92.66 while Nicola Dioli from Italy was the only one from heat one to break into the 90's with 91.00.

The other five riders filling up the finals are Sebbe De Buck (BEL, 84.66), 2013 world champion and 2015 silver medallist Roope Tonteri (FIN, 82.66) and Michael Ciccarelli (CAN, 76.00) from heat one plus Aljosa Krivec (SLO, 75.66) and Matts Kulisek (CAN, 74.33) coming from heat 2.

The last two spots for the finals will be awarded to the best two riders of the semi finals which also will take place Saturday right before the main event.
