Two months before the freestyle snowboarders enter the pipe and slopestyle course at Copper Mt. for some World Cup events, the race boarders had their season's first competition on Continental Cup level.

In the Nor-Am Cup parallel giant slalom, Korean Hae-rim Jeong and Slovenia's veteran Rok Flander came out victorious.

On the women's side, Jeong relegated US girl Madeline Wiencke and World Cup title holder Patrizia Kummer (SUI) to the second and third rank respectively.

Flander beat Swiss racer Nevin Galmarini, who also shared the photo used in the news on facebook, in the finals. Justin Reiter (USA) rounded out the podium as third.

Tomorrow, a parallel slalom will take place on the same slope.
