Just two days after the Swiss Snowboard team crowned their national SBX champs the race boarders battled for the title in the PGS event staged in Furtschellas.

Coming out first were two World Cup experienced riders: Stefanie Mueller and Kaspar Fluetsch.

Mueller beat Nicole Baumgartner in the women's final with Ladina Jenny placing in third position.

On the men's side, Fluetsch had the whip hand over Roland Haldi. Nevin Galmarini rounded out the podium as third.

“I'm very happy about the title,” said Mueller after a pretty tight duel. “It was close but in the end I was able to take home Gold.”

It was her career's first national championships title after Mueller had finished the event in second position last year.

Fluetsch also cliched his career's first and thus added his third national champs medal to his belt.

“It's a fantastic end of the season; although the first training camp is scheduled for Mallorca, Spain, soon again.”
