  • Stoneham, Quebec, has a long history as a World Cup host with the first competitions being held in the resort in December 2002. But it is a special mixture which makes this stop at the mountain located within a 30 min drive from Quebec City so tradition-rich.

Since the 2007/2008 season, the local staff organises the snowjamboree festival which brings everything together what snowboarding is all about. Lifestyle, fashion, music, youth and sport - all in a whole package make the tour's stop in Quebec a memorable one where all the riders love to come back to.

But besides the stair master's action or the cat walk show in the city, which makes the nightlife so enjoyable, Stoneham Mountain provides a fantastic infrastructure for all athletes which the competitors of the 2013 FIS Snowboard World Championships were able to experience once again last winter.

This season and compared to last year's worlds, the program is less extensive but still high level as one halfpipe and one slopestyle World Cup will take place. In addition, the so far fifth big air World Cup contest will be staged in the heart of Quebec City, too.

A total of 39 trails of which the half also form the largest network for night skiing and snowboarding in Canada are covering 326 acres on four mountains. However, for the World Cup competitions, only one is needed which provides all, the snowboard cross course, the parallel giant slope course and right in between, a 22-foot superpipe which is equipped with flood light making night finals possible.

In addition, an average annual snowfall of 420 centimetres and a high performance snow making system make this winter resort snow secure.
