After today's last official training in the superpipe of the Ruka & Pyhä Ski Resort, Local Organisers, Officials, riders and team staff are pumped to kick off things in Finland.

Janne Korpi, reigning FIS Snowboard Freestyle World Cup title champion of Finland said: "The half pipe was pretty good as it got faster. If it gets icy tomorrow, it could be a little different. Today we had no problems with the glide so it was nice to ride since it still was soft. My riding wasn't that great yet, but I'm getting there."

Tomorrow will bring the qualifying heats in the ladies' and men's competition of this season's second Halfpipe World Cup event with the girls to drop in first.

Emma Bernard of France who finished in the runner-up position at the Ruka Halfpipe World Cup two years ago will be the first rider to showcase her tricks at 11:40 AM (CET +1).

After the 26 ladies have done their job, the first heat men will follow around 1:30 PM (CET +1) with the second heat to start at 3:30 PM (CET +1).

Check the start list for the ladies and men top right of this page.

Best four riders of each heat will directly advance to semi finals. Those women ranked 5 - 12 will go to the semi finals from where the best two will make it to the finals tomorrow too.

On the men's side, 5 - 10 ranked riders of each heat will form a semi final of twelve with the top four filling up the finals on Friday.

Friday's finals will consist of six ladies and twelve men.
