Last pre-Olympic Snowboard Freestyle World Cup just around the corner

With less than a week to go to the last pre-Olympic Snowboard Freestyle World Cup tour stop in Stoneham, Quebec and Quebec City from Jan 16 - 19, the final preparations are  in full swing.

As FIS Assistant Race Director Roberto Moresi reported that all three venues of the 2014 Snowboard Jamboree look good.

“The pipe at Stoneham is fully pushed and only needs some last fine tuning,” Moresi said.

In addition, the set-up for this season sole big air in Quebec City is also almost ready.

“The changes and modifications compared to the previous years look also good. The same for the slopestyle course. The changes compared to last year will lead to a way better set-up and flow on the course.

Steve Petrie and his crew are doing a great job! So do the Local Organisers. They are as always fully motivated and professional.”

However, just like last year at the World Championships, mother nature seems to be keen to play a major role again.

Today should bring some rain with temperatures dropping below zero again later on in the week.
