Sverre K. Seeberg (NOR) FIS Council Member since 2004

Sverre K. Seeberg (*1950) has been member of the FIS Council since 2004. He was elected FIS Vice President, Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Commission in 2010. He has also been President of the Norwegian Ski Association since 2002. Prior to that, he was its Vice President from 2000-2001 and Chairman of the Council of the Skiforeningen, the biggest Ski Club in Norway and the organizer of the Holmenkollen Ski Festival, from 1995-2000.
Trained by the Norwegian Royal Military Academy, Mr. Seeberg served in the army from 1976-1983. He then worked as Secretary General of the Norwegian Ski Association from 1983-1989, before moving into business. He has been in banking since 1991, serving as Vice President for Real Estate and Facility Management of DnB NOR for many years, but moved in 2009 into a position of Special Advisor, which is easier to combine with the positions ofPresident of NSF and Vice President of FIS.
A many-time Norwegian and Nordic Champion in sled-dog racing from 1969-1973, Mr. Seeberg keeps fit going Cross-Country and Alpine Skiing and Orienteering. He is married and lives with his family in Oslo
