
As people across the world are getting ready for the Olympic flame to light up the international sports arena from Friday, 27th July until 12th August, members of the extended FIS family are in London to attend a number of meetings surrounding the Games.
As a Member of the IOC, FIS President Gian Franco Kasper will be delivering his final report as Chairman of the IOC Coordination Commission for the 2012 Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck during the 124th IOC Session. During the IOC Session, the General Assembly of IOC Members, the most significant decisions concerning the Olympic Movement will be reached. In his capacity as an IOC Member Gian Franco Kasper will be assisting throughout the Games, notably monitoring work at the Broadcast Center in addition to presenting various medals at a number of different events.
FIS Secretary General Sarah Lewis will take the opportunity to meet with the Sochi 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018 Organizing Committees for the Winter Olympic Games, various IOC departments and a number of FIS partners.
In addition, several members of the extended FIS family, including FIS Vice President Janez Kocijancic and FIS Honorary Member Milan Jirasek are at the Games as Presidents of their respective National Olympic Committees (NOC) of Slovenia and the Czech Republic.
