Germany's Andreas Wank continued his winning streak in the individual competition in Hakuba (JAP) on 26th August. The 24-year-old celebrated his third victory in a row ahead of Jurij Tepes (SLO) and Dawid Kubacki (POL). Both Tepes and Kubacki achieved their first podium results while Wank now clearly leads the overall Grand Prix ranking. With 409 points, he is ahead of Switzerland`s Simon Ammann (247) and Japanese Reruhi Shimizu (212).
After his successful weekend in Hakuba, Wank stated: “I will not compete in the next competition in Almaty because I need a break. It would be nice to win the overall title in the Grand Prix, but the most important thing is to be in good shape this winter."
