Nordic Combined

A combination of Ski Jumping and Cross-Country where the competitors require the skill and nerve to master the ski jump combined with the physical stamina and technique on the cross-country course.

Individual Gundersen Event

Two Jumps on a normal or large Ski Jumping hill with a 15km Cross-Country race. The athlete with the best Ski Jumping result will start first in the Cross-Country race (Gundersen method).

Sprint Event

One Ski-Jump on a normal or large Ski Jumping hill followed by a 7.5km Cross-Country race. The athlete with the best Ski Jumping result will start first in the Cross-Country race (Gundersen method).

Mass Start Event

At first a 10 km Cross-Country race in mass start followed by a Ski Jumping competition with two rounds without judges scoring on a normal or large Ski Jumping hill.

Team Event

Overall scores for each team of four competitors are determined over two rounds of Ski Jumping followed by a 4x5 km Cross-Country relay race. Team events in mass start format are possible and also Team events with only three members of each team.
