Forum Nordicum 2009 to convene in Willingen, Save the Date for FIS Forum Alpinum
The 2009 Forum Nordicum, the traditional meeting of the Union of Nordic Ski Journalists that is part of the AIPS (‘Association de la Presse Sportive'), will be held in Willingen (GER) from Monday, 12th October until Thursday, 15th October. Willingen, one of the hosts of the newly-introduced FIS Team Tour, will welcome some 80-100 representatives of the media, ski industry, local organizing committees and the Nordic ski sports' governing bodies for the season opening "question and answer" session.
The FIS Day will take place on Wednesday 14th October when FIS representatives led by the FIS President Gian Franco Kasper will discuss the latest developments in the world of skiing. The FIS Day will also include presentations on coming season's highlight events in the three FIS Nordic disciplines, such as the FIS Ski Flying World Championships 2010 in Planica (SLO).
The FIS Forum Alpinum - the Information Session for the Alpine Ski Journalists - will take place on Friday 23rd October, the day before the opening of the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup season 2009/10 in Sölden (AUT). The FIS management together will provide an update on FIS's activities and stand ready for questions and answers with the international media. There will also be an opportunity for the media to meet with the national head coaches / alpine directors to discuss their teams' latest news and season goals.
