Compete with the top Olympic athletes - new IOC online initiative
The IOC has launched "The Best of Us Challenge" - a new digital initiative that gives people around the world the unique opportunity to compete with top Olympic athletes, and each other, and showcase their skills. Athletes already participating in the Challenge, include Rafael Nadal (SPA/tennis), Asafa Powell (JAM/athletics), Yelena Isinbaeva (RUS/pole vault), Lindsey Vonn (USA/Alpine Skiing), Lindsey Jacobellis (USA/Snowboarding) or Pernilla Wiberg (SWE/Alpine Skiing).
No matter what the skill-from balancing a stick for as long as possible to doing the most clapping push-ups in 30 seconds-The Best of Us Challenge encourages young people to find the best in themselves, share it with the world and then challenge each other to become better at it. They will also have the option to create and submit their own challenges independent of the Olympians, truly giving them the opportunity to show what they are best at.
The Best of Us Challenge is a continuation of the larger strategy for "The Best of Us" campaign, which focuses on creating connections between young people's values and those of the Olympic Movement (Excellence, Friendship and Respect), both in between the Games and during them.
