Welcome to World Snow Day After months of preparation, World Snow Day has been officially launched. Wednesday 1st June marked the launch of the official World Snow Day website at www.world-snow-day.com. The website is the main channel of communication for event organizers and those planning on participating in World Snow Day. Furthermore event organizers can now register their events and become officially recognized by FIS. Some other key features of the website include: • Event Locator In addition to the launch of the website, already more than 10 confirmed events have signed up for World Snow Day on the first day. Some of these locations include, Vail/ Beever Creek (USA), St. Moritz (SUI), Val di Fiemme (ITA), Oslo (NOR), Lahti (FIN), Falun (SWE), Zakopane (POL), Innsbruck (AUT), Garmisch-Partenkichen (GER), Kitzbühel (AUT) and Cortina d'Ampezzo (ITA). Finally FIS would like to thank all the National Ski Associations at the Calendar Conference in Portoroz for all their positive feedback. In addition, there has been an overwhelming amount of support already from the snow industry, tourism organizations, FIS Organizing Committees and the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA) for which FIS would also like to extend their gratitude too. To get started, do remember to Work it out, Sign Up, Deliberate, Formulate and Celebrate. This will be a great opportunity to celebrate snow sports!
