Election of Ski Jumping reprs for Athletes' Commission

Election of Ski Jumping reprs for Athletes' Commission

In spring 1996, the 40th International Ski Congress decided to introduce a FIS Athletes' Commission whose members are elected by the athletes themselves. The last elections for the Athletes' Commission took place during the different FIS World Championships in 2009.

Due to the introduction of a new event, ladies' Ski Jumping, an election for their representative is necessary. Additionally a replacement for the men's Ski Jumping representative must be elected due to the retirement of Andreas Küttel. New elections for all members of the FIS Athletes' Commission will take place during the FIS World Championships in 2013 when the current Commission's four year mandate ends.

The replacement elections will take place at the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Lillehammer (NOR) on 3rd-4th December 2011. Nominations may be submitted in writing by the National Ski Associations from 1st November 2011.

One candidate per nation representing ladies' and men's Ski Jumping may stand for election to the Athletes' Commission (with the exception of the nations already represented, i.e. FRA, SWE, BUL, CRO, USA, FIN, NOR, AUT, CAN, NZE, POL) and sent to athletescommission(at)fisski.ch. The deadline for nominations of candidates is 30th November 2011.
