“JUMP! The most beautiful jumps in the world”

“JUMP! The most beautiful jumps in the world”

The new book, entitled “JUMP! The most beautiful jumps in the world,” honors the constructions and the history of the discipline of Ski Jumping and shows that the dream of mankind – to fly – can come true.  About 40 Ski Jumping hills are presented, each over four pages including detailed information explaining most of the technical details and past victories. The book includes a preface from the FIS Race Director Walter Hofer and an epilogue from the Ski Jumping Legend Jens Weissflog. The book’s authors, Peter Riedel, an expert in innovative technology and FIS Ski Jumping Media Coordinator Horst Nilgen, follow the international jumping facilities from a close perspective since years, and depict their impressions through astonishing images.

Ski Jumping hills are fascinating technical monuments for winter sports. The history of Ski Jumping has been and will continue to be written on and through them. The hills represent both victory and defeat; they stand both for the record-breaking performances that inspire and for the frustration that motivates future success. The ski jumps selected for this illustrated book pay homage to the ski jumps of the world. Joyful cheering can almost be heard on the images of the take-off along with supporting chants for the looser, who didn’t make it beyond the fall line. .

The publication is presented by egoth Publication GmbH, and it is available in the following four languages; German, English, French and Russian. For more information, please visit: www.egoth.at
