Leadership changes at Snow Sports New Zealand
Snow Sports New Zealand (SSNZ) Chief Executive Ross Palmer has recently moved on to pursue new career opportunities.
"Given where we were three years ago, Ross has accomplished a great deal, including bringing all of the sports together under one umbrella," said Snow Sports New Zealand Board Chair Rick Pettit. Palmer will continue his work as a founder and trustee of SOS Outreach New Zealand, a charity that utilizes snow sports and other outdoor adventure activities as a medium for working with under-served youth.
"I'm excited by the new challenges ahead, and I want to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to all those who have supported the growth and development of SSNZ in recent years," said Palmer. "I've had the opportunity to work with some great people at FIS and have been warmly welcomed into the FIS family over the past few years."
Snow Sports New Zealand is currently under the interim management of Ross McRobie, a current SSNZ Board member and Wanaka businessman. McRobie is serving in the role of Acting General Manager until a decision has been made about a successor.
