Czechs, Germans win FIS SnowKidz Award 2012 The winners of the FIS SnowKidz Award 2012 were announced at the FIS Congress on Wednesday 30th May: After much deliberation, there was no way of telling who was better, which meant that the Jury decided that the Czech Republic and Germany tied for the first place. Slovenia with their School Marathon in Pokljuka project took third. The FIS SnowKidz Award was introduced in 2009 as part of the ‘Bring Children to the Snow' campaign. It aims to recognize and promote the best examples of bringing children to the snow in varying national circumstances. A total of 21 applications from 21 National Ski Associations were received by the deadline on 15th February. Eight applications came from Aid & Promotion developing ski nations. All applications were reviewed by the FIS SnowKidz Jury which selected the eight finalists: |
