FIS Story, Mission, Guiding Principles in print form
The 2011 editions of the FIS Bulletin and Directory are in the process of being posted to the National Ski Associations and the FIS Committee Members. Together with the Bulletin, the recipients will also receive a small brochure entitled "The FIS Vision" which outlines the FIS story, its mission and the seven guiding principles.
It is necessary and valuable for every organization to occasionally take the time to reflect on what it is, what it wishes to achieve and how it can reach its goals. Finding these answers is by no means as simple as the questions. The new FIS Vision document is intended to become the guiding source for inspiration in determining how FIS understands its mission and what is needed to fulfill it. By harnessing the collective implementation of the same values, consistency will be assured in managing competitions, in administering FIS and the National Ski Associations, in encouraging participation and in contributing to the protection of the environment.
