Alfons Hörmann re-elected President of the DSV
FIS Council Member Alfons Hörmann has been re-elected President of the German Ski Association for a four-year term. In its recent General Assembly in Planegg (GER), the 52-year-old from Sulzberg/Allgäu has been unanimously confirmed in his position, now embarking on his third term of office. Dr. Franz Steinle, Peter Schlickenrieder, Helmut Schreyer and newly elected Heiko Krause will be serving as Vice Presidents.
“I am particularly happy about the confirmed trust placed in me. Especially with the hosting of major winter sports events such as the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2011 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, we are looking back to a successful past from a sports, economical and organisational perspective. This is the result of a continuous goal-setting and performance-oriented team effort at all levels of our Ski Association. I now see myself equipped with the task to continue the orientation of the German Ski Association and, together with my team, fulfil the expectations placed on us”, said Alfons Hörmann.
