FIS Aid & Promotion Alpine Camp in Ushuaia
The FIS Alpine Training Camp in South America began on 12th July in Ushuaia, Argentina. Some 20 athletes from Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru are participating, along with five coaches and staff.
The ski training, for giant slalom and slalom, took place at the Cerro Castor ski resort where there are excellent conditions. In the afternoon, it is time for dry land training in the gym or outside in Ushuaia. The ski resort of Cerro Castor was fortunately not impacted by the eruption of Puyehue in Chile. The camp will conclude with two giant slalom and one slalom races being held this week.
