Ski Cross World Cup continues in St Johann The season's second Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup competitions will take place on Saturday 7th January 2012 in St. Johann in Tyrol - Oberndorf. Qualifications are set for Friday afternoon whilst the World Cup races themselves are being staged as night races starting at 18:15 CET With ten years of experience in organizing ski cross races, Oberndorf and St. Johann in Tirol are some of the leading organizers in the circuit. More than 3,000 spectators visited the initial World Cup in 2009 whilst in 2010 more than 5,000 enthusiastic fans celebrated all night long. At the 3rd FIS Ski Cross World Cup in 2011 the number of spectators rose to 7,000 and the 2012 event is expected to top the numbers of the former years - see you at the Night Cross in Oberndorf / St. Johann in Tirol! At the season opening events in Innichen / San Candido (ITA), Canadian Kelsey Serwa took a double victory on the ladies' side and leads the current rankings with the full 200 points. On the men's side, Russian Egor Korotkov leads the overall standings after two 2nd place finishes behind Andreas Matt (AUT) and Brady Leman (CAN) who took the season opening victories.
