New book: The fascinating story of Simi & Andi
An interesting new book is set to come fresh off the press this Autumn: Entitled "Ungleichen Zwillinge" (Uneven twins), this book will tell the story of the unbelievable successes and special friendship between the Swiss ski jumpers Simon Ammann and Andreas Küttel. The lives of the two athletes have been intertwined for years; they were brought together through the sport of Ski Jumping, which led to a very intimate friendship and something like an invisible bond between the two.
Written by Marc Wälti, formerly the chief of communications at Swiss-Ski, the book is scheduled to be released in mid-October 2011. The story begins with the double Olympic victory by Simon Ammann at the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City 2002 and depicts the development and even the past of these two fascinating athletes. Told from the perspective of a close friend and advisor, the book lends authentic insights into the two personalities and their world behind-the-scenes of top level Ski Jumping.
