Ladies Ski Jumping World Cup in Hinterzarten

Ladies Ski Jumping World Cup in Hinterzarten

The FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Ladies presented by Viessmann will continue with two competitions in Hinterzarten (GER) this coming weekend. After the cancellation of Friday's competition in near-by Schonach due to a lack of snow following adverse weather conditions with heavy rain and high winds, the event was re-scheduled at Hinterzarten on Saturday. The event originally scheduled in Hinterzarten on 8th January 2012 will be staged according to the original plan.

The first competition in the inaugural World Cup series was held in Lillehammer (NOR) in early December. The winner Sarah Hendrickson (USA) will also be the athlete to watch in Hinterzarten. 2009 world champion Lindsey Van (USA) will be returning to competition after her ankle surgery on 4th October 2011.

After Hinterzarten, the ladies will move to their pre-World Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme (ITA) where a competition weekend will take place on 14-15th January.
