Nordic Combined: Norwegian weekend in Ramsau am Dachstein

Nordic Combined: Norwegian weekend in Ramsau am Dachstein

Norway’s Magnus Moan and Mikko Kokslien won the two Individual Gundersen competitions in Ramsau am Dachstein (AUT) in the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup presented by Viessmann.

On Saturday, it was Magnus Moan's time to clinch his third season victory as the strong Norwegians claimed a double victory with Moan ahead of Mikko Kokslien. Mikko Kokslien was also beyond happy to come back strong after a poor season start: “I am in the battle for the top spots again! My plan is being first the next race!”

“Said and done”, the 27-year-old succeeded in the Individual Gundersen competition on Sunday and secured his win just a few centimetres ahead of Jason Lamy Chappuis from France in a photo finish.

Throughout the Christmas break, Jason Lamy Chappuis is in the lead (355 points) in the overall World Cup ranking, ahead of Moan (323) and Austria’s Bernhard Gruber (200).

The next Nordic Combined World Cup competitions will be staged in Schonach-Schoenwald (GER) on 5th and 6th January 2013.
