FIS Coaches Seminar
On 21st April 2012, the Bulgarian Ski Association organized a FIS Coaches seminar focusing on the topic "The Challenge of Coaching”. The seminar held in Sofia involved coaches and career professionals engaged in Alpine Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing and Snowboarding. This is the second forum the Bulgarian Ski Association is organizing after the FIS Leaders Seminar in Bansko 2009. In particular, nations from South Eastern Europe showed avid interest, but also participants from India and Brazil traveled from far to attend the meeting. After a successful season with two FIS Alpine World Cups in Bansko, the interest of Bulgarian coaches was especially large with almost all club coaches participating. The disciplines of Cross-Country and Alpine Skiing met the highest demands with more than 40 to 50 participants each.
