Appointments of Vice Presidents, Committee Chairmen and Honorary Members by the FIS Council

Appointments of Vice Presidents, Committee Chairmen and Honorary Members by the FIS Council

At the first Meeting of the newly-elected Council in Kangwonland (KOR) on 2nd June 2012, the Council unanimously elected the following four Vice-Presidents of the International Ski Federation:

Sverre Seeberg (NOR)
Janez Kocijancic (SLO)
Bill Marolt (USA)
Dr Sung Won Lee (KOR)

Additionally, the Council assigned the following responsibilities:

FIS Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Commission: Sverre Seeberg (NOR)
Chairman of the FIS Doping Panel: Patrick Smith (CAN)

Besides nominating all the chairs and members of the more than 50 FIS Committees, Sub-Committees and working groups, the Council appointed the following new Chairmen:

Coordination Group for the Nordic Disciplines: Roman Kumpost (CZE)

Sub-Committees:
-    Cross-Country World Cup and Continental Cups: Erik Röste (NOR)
-    Ladies’ Cross-Country: Barbara Beyer-Petzold (GER)
-    Ski Jumping Hills: Hans-Martin Renn (GER)
-    Classification of Alpine Competitors: Jeff Weinman (USA)
-    Alpine Intercontinental Cup: Bob Dart (USA)
-    Alpine Nor-Am Cup: Paul Kristofic (CAN)
-    Alpine Australia-New Zealand Cup: David Howden (AUS)
-    Freestyle Rules and Officials: Michael Kennedy (AUS)

The former Council appointed the following Honorary Members of FIS Committees in recognition of their outstanding services:

René Sulpice (FRA), Sub-Committee for Alpine Courses
Werner Berger (SUI), Committee for Grass Skiing
Harald Aarhus (NOR), Nordic Combined Committee
Svein Mundal (NOR), Alpine Committee
