Developing Ski Jumping in Russia

Just in time before the start of the Bauhaus FIS Ski Jumping World Cup season last weekend in Ruka, a well-organized Ski Jumping development seminar was carried out in Moscow. 94 participants from around Russia, from Moscow to Sachalin and Magadan participated.

Led by Horst Tielmann, the theme of the seminar was, "How to organize a FIS Ski Jumping Competition." The topics discussed encompassed from an overview of FIS rules and illustrative examples to review and insights into the different levels of FIS competitions from World Cup to Continental and FIS Cup.

For next year, another two seminars are planned to be held in Russia for continuing the education and providing a more in depth look into the key topic areas.
