Positive forecast for first Audi FIS Ski World Cup City Event The first Audi FIS Ski World Cup City Event will be staged on 2nd January 2011 in the Olympic Park in Munich (GER). The parallel slalom competition at the Olympic Mountain will see the world's best racers fight for overall World Cup points on a 200 meter long slope with approximately 20 gates, ending at the bottom of the upper Olympic Lake. "With the recent snowfall and cold temperatures as well as a positive weather forecast for the next days, we can expect good conditions at the Olympic Mountain on 2nd January," said Günter Hujara, FIS Chief Race Director for the men's World Cup. "There has been great interest by the TV broadcasters and over 4'000 tickets have already been sold. The signs are very promising and we look forward to a great event with new elements such as special lighting and music, all designed to create a fantastic show with all the top stars of today's Alpine ski racing."
