Dexter Paine

Dexter Paine was elected to the FIS Council at the Congress in Barcelona (ESP) in 2014. Paine was also named a FIS Vice-President at the same Congress in 2014. A former ski racer, Paine is also currently chairman of the board of the U.S. Ski Association, a position he has held since 2006. He was president of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation, the fundraising arm of the team, from 2002-2006.  Paine also served on the executive committee for the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail/Beaver Creek. 

Professionally, Paine has over 30 years of investment experience in the food and agribusiness sectors. Prior to co-founding Paine & Partners in 2006, Mr. Paine co-founded the Predecessor Firm, Fox Paine & Company, in 1997 and served as President from its inception until December 2007.  Previously, Mr. Paine was with Kohlberg & Company, which he joined in 1994 to establish and head that firm’s West Coast office. Paine lives in New York City.
