Eduardo Valenzuela (*1955) was elected a member of the FIS Council at the 2018 Congress in Costa Navarino (GRE).
He is currently the Mountain Manager of Sierra Nevada ski resort, a company for which he started working in 1987 and has extensive experience in the organization of FIS World Cups in Alpine skiing, Snowboarding and Freestyle Skiing.
Most recently, Valenzuela was the head of the Local Organising Committee of the 2017 FIS Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada and was also a key member of the Organising Committee of the 1996 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships also in Sierra Nevada (ESP). He was also the technical manager of the 2012 Junior World Snowboard Championships and the 2015 FISU Universiade.
He is an active member of the Spanish Ski Areas Association where he has been working on the Spanish Rule for Ski-resorts and the environmental policy for this organisation.
