Flavio Roda

Flavio Roda (*1948) was elected President of the Italian Winter Sports Association (FISI) in March 2012.

Prior to that, he coordinated the Italian delegation for the Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck in 2012 and was Technical Director at the FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships in Roccaraso, both in early 2012.

The former coach of Italian superstar Alberto Tomba became head coach for the Italian men's World Cup team in 2004, followed by the ladies' team in 2005. From 2006 to 2008, he was director of the Italian Alpine national team.

In his business activities, Mr Roda has been director of the Federal Technical School and coordinated the "Pianeta Giovani Ratiopharm", a development programme to grow new talent for the Italian national Alpine team.
