Peter Schröcksnadel

Peter Schröcksnadel (*1941) was member of the FIS Council from 2002-2008 and was re-elected in 2010. He has served as President of the Austrian Ski Federation since 1990. Prior to that, he was Vice President of the Federation from 1987-1990 and responsible for recreational skiing from 1978-1990. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree by the Austrian Ministry for Science in 1992 and honorary senate of the University of Innsbruck in 2013.

A successful entrepreneur, Mr. Schröcksnadel is the founder and owner of Sitour Produktions- und Werbeges mbH and of Feratel Media Technologies AG. He is also CEO of four subsidiaries of the Austrian Ski Federation. Through his ownership of Sitour, he is the owner of several ski areas, including Großglockner Bergbahnen Touristik GmbH in Heiligenblut, Patscherkofelbahnen Ges.m.b.H. & Co.KG. in Igls, Ötscherlift-Gesellschaft m.b.H. & Cie. Kommanditgesellschaft in Lackenhof, Unterberghornbahnen GmbH & Co KG in Kössen, Hinterstoder-Wurzeralm Bergbahnen AG in Hinterstoder and Hochficht Bergbahnen GmbH in Aigen.

An enthusiastic skier, Mr. Schröcksnadel was a member of the Austrian Junior National team in his youth and more recently, captured the Masters World Champion title in giant slalom in 2002. He is married and lives in Innsbruck.
