Isabel CLARK RIBEIRO

Isabel about Isabel:

I started snowboarding when I was 17 years old and just loved it. Since than I have been following every opportunity life gave to me to be on top of my snowboard.

I worked many seasons as a snowboard instructor, and in 2003, when snowboard cross became an Olympic sport, I saw a real chance to represent my country in the Olympics.

So here I am now going in the direction of my third Olympics Games in Sochi 2014. For me snowboard cross is an amazing way of snowboarding. Every race is a great challenge, where I have to do my best, and when it all comes together it's the best feeling on the course.

The question that i hear the most is why someone from Brazil, from Rio de Janeiro, got involved with this cold sport. And the answer is, when you really like something, there's nothing cold about it.

With the support of my federation, I have been possible to dedicate all my time to the sport, which is necessary on World Cup level.
