The biggest show on snow is set to kick off as the FIS Alpine World Ski Championship will host the opening ceremony is just 10 days.
And good news came from the course crew today as the event was formally given the green light after today’s successful snow control. Conditions are looking excellent as Courchevel-Meribel (FRA) prepares to host the world’s top Alpine Skiing athletes.
From January 5-19 a total of 12 medal events will be staged in one-of-a-kind setting as the two resorts place host together. All of the men’s events will be staged in Courchevel, while the women’s events will be held in Meribel. The resort of Meribel will also play host to the parallel events and all medal ceremonies.
