From 10th to 14th January 2023 FIS held another Development Camp to help improve the skills of young athletes, and to encourage cross-border friendships. This camp – for Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined – took place in Predazzo Val di Fiemme (ITA), with a total of 29 participants from the following National Ski Associations (NSAs): BUL, GEO, LAT, ROU, HUN, SVK.
The camp facility offered the best possible facilities for the athletes stage and age, with K20-K30 and K60 hills. During the camp sessions were conducted on jumping training, gym and cross-country, followed by a New Star Cup competition at the end of the week.
Thankfully, the training camps ran without any accidents and were enjoyed by all. Through being together and training together, friendships have developed that will surely last for a long time. The FIS camps offer the athletes a unique opportunity, which is reflected in the great team spirit.
Thanks to the efforts of all our coaches and the OCit was a very successful camp, with great team spirit on display. The participants went home inspired by their new experiences, and eager to develop the two disciplines in their own countries.
