FIS Para Snow Sports World Cup season open

The first FIS Para Snow Sport World Cup of the season is in the books.

The Para Snowboard World Cup in banked slalom was held in Landgraaf (NED). In total, 40 athletes from the 14 nations competed in five races – three men’s and two women’s.

The first competitions allowed Jacopo Luchin (ITA), Chris Vos (NED) and Oliver Hill (GBR) were the top three on the first race day.  In the second competition day Luchin and Vos repeated the results from the previous day and Evan Strong (USA) joined the on the podium.

In the women’s races, Kotzian Monika (POL) continues to dominate the UL category winning two consecutive titles in two competition days.

The next World Cup in Para Snowboard disciplines will be 18th-20th December in Big White, (CAN).

In December, the Para Alpine and Para Nordic seasons will kick off.  FIS Para Alpine World Cup will start in St Moritz (SUI), followed by Steinach am Brenner (AUT). During the two weekends, two super-G, three giant slalom and three slalom events will be delivered.

The Para Nordic events World Cup events will start at Vuokatti (FIN) with Cross Country and Biathlon scheduled. All events will have live results on the FIS respective Para Snow Sports pages.
