The Italian ski region of Alta Badia is not only home to the Audi FIS Ski World Cup, but also a home for families. For the second straight year, the resort will host a special night of snow sports for families in the middle of summer.
On 17th August, guests will be treated to a history of skiing in the area presented by local ski and snowboard instructors. Then local World Cup hero Davide Simoncelli will join the hosts for his insight into skiing in the area.
At the end of the evening the main event will take place. Thanks to snow farming over the last months a ski slope will be created in the heart of the town on which children will get the chance to try downhill skiing in the middle of summer. Free lessons will be provided by the instructors of the Ski & Snowboard School La Villa as well as freestyle demonstrations from the “Pirate Crew” all under a lighting display worthy of a New Year’s Eve celebration.
