The ski resort of Breuil-Cervinia is one of the biggest you can find in the Alps and Italy's most snow-sure resort nestling right at the foot of Monte Cervino, known to the most as Matterhorn.
It provides a long season given the high altitude of some 2,050 m in the village and almost 3,500 m at the top lift station.
All in all, the ski resort is a massive playground for everyone as the most slopes feature an easy gradient which allows beginners to edge in their first turns with confidence.
Those with better skills will benefit from the fact that Breuil-Cervinia is directly linked to the more demanding slopes of Zermatt. However, a terrain park and off-piste riding round out your snowboarding trip to Italy.
That said, the resort also offers perfect conditions to run World Cup events.
Having been the host to the 2016 and 2017 SBX National Championships already, Local Organisers are now stepping up their game by organising the fourth stop of the 2017-18 World Cup season.
Above that, it's the first time since Valmalenco back in March 2012 that a SBX World Cup event will be staged in Italy.
