The statistics from the FIS App have now arrived after its launch in the 2016/17 season and were presented to the PR & Mass Media Committee in Portoroz.
Created in conjunction with international sports marketing company Infront Sports & Media and its subsidiary Omnigon, the new FIS mobile application has become a one stop shop for stakeholders and fans of all skiing disciplines and snowboarding to get all the news, information, live timing and data for all FIS disciplines, at all competition levels.
Since its launch, the FIS App has been downloaded more than 260,000 times on iOS and Android. It recorded 28,194,000 views and 4,225,159 sessions with the average user spending more than five minutes per session on the App. 61% of its users are below the age of 34 with 46% female.
Sport related information including results, standings, schedules and in particular live timing are the most consumed information to date.
