Extended deadline to submit nominations for the FIS Athletes’ Commission

FIS has extended the deadline to submit nominations for candidates to stand for election to the FIS Athletes’ Commission 2017-2019.

Candidates for the Athletes’ Commission should be active athletes at present, but must have competed at the previous FIS World Championships 2015 or at World Cup level until at least season 2014/15. A maximum of one female and one male athlete per nation may stand for election, whereby they must be in a different FIS discipline.

The composition for the Athletes’ Commission 2017-2019 is as follows:

Cross-Country Skiing: 2 members - 1 female and 1 male
Ski-Jumping: 2 members - 1 female and 1 male
Nordic Combined: 1 member - 1 male
Alpine Skiing: 2 members - 1 female and 1 male
Freestyle Skiing: 2 members - 1 female and 1 male
Snowboard: 2 members - 1 female and 1 male

The new deadlines are as follows:

Alpine Skiing: 30th January 2017
Cross-Country, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined: 15th February 2017
Freestyle Skiing, Snowboard: 28th February 2017
