FIS represented at European Evening of Sport

Bringing together key decision makers from the European Union and the Olympic Sport Movement, the European Evening of Sport gathered more than 250 participants on 19th June 2017 in Brussels (BEL).

In attendance was IOC President Thomas Bach who delivered the keynote speech on the challenges and opportunities for sport in Europe.

Meanwhile, FIS Vice-President Janez Kocijancic, who is the acting President of the European Olympic Committee, took part in a high-level panel discussion together with Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport and Yves Le Lostecque, EU Head of the Sport Unit on the future EU sport policy.

Further FIS representatives attending the event were FIS Council Member Roman Kumpost, who is a member of Executive Board of the Czech Olympic Committee, and FIS Secretary General Sarah Lewis.
