FIS represented at SportAccord Convention in Aarhus

Sport leaders, International Federations, National Olympic Committees, cities, media, consultants and other stakeholders from the world of sport are currently gathering in Aarhus (DEN) for the SportAccord Convention from 2nd-7th April 2017.

FIS is represented by President Gian Franco Kasper, Secretary General Sarah Lewis and Marketing Director Jürg Capol at the conference sessions. Lewis is also a member of the Steering Committee organising the annual convention of all International Sports Federations.

In addition to the Association’s General Assemblies and networking opportunities for sports leaders, the week has several workshops aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of the attendees. There are also two half-day sessions with the theme MediaAccord and LawAccord tailoring to the two sub-sets of attendees.

Gian Franco Kasper stated: “We have been able to accomplish many important meetings during the SportAccord Convention, as well as benefit from opportunities to discuss and gain insights into developments in the sports industry in general.”

The SportAccord Convention is the world’s premier and most exclusive annual event at the service of sport. It is focused on driving positive change internationally and dedicated to engaging and connecting; rights holders, organising committees, cities, press and media, businesses and other organisations involved in the development of sport.
