Nearly 750 delegates from the extended FIS Family are currently in Zurich (SUI) for more than 50 meetings, workshops and seminars as part of the annual FIS Technical Committee Meetings at the Hilton Airport Hotel.
The week of meetings got underway on Tuesday, 3rd October with the Alpine Executive Board, the Broadcasters meeting for Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski as well as a networking evening for the participants of the FIS Youth and Children’s Seminar.
Today, 4th October, meetings were held by the Alpine, Freestyle and Snowboard Sub-Committees and Working Groups. The day also included the 15th edition of the FIS Youth and Children’s Seminar (click here for full article).
Today and tomorrow’s schedule includes presentations from all of the FIS World Championship Candidates for 2022/2023 to discuss all aspects of their bid proposals with the FIS Inspection Group.
Delegations from the PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games as well as Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games and the FIS World Championship 2019 and 2021 Organising Committees from Åre (SWE), Seefeld (AUT), Park City (USA), Cortina d’Ampezzo (ITA), Oberstdorf (GER), Zhangjiakou (CHN) are also on site for working meetings with the FIS officials and to present their preparations for the upcoming Games and Championships to the main FIS Discipline Committees.
The meetings will conclude on Saturday, 7th October with FIS Technical Delegate updates for Freestyle, Freeski and Snowboard.
