The first part of the FIS Development Programme Nordic Training Camp in Tarvisio (ITA), Villach (AUT) and Planica (SLO) recently concluded with 29 athletes and 15 coaches from eight nations* taking part from 9th-15th July 2017.
The programme is focused on the development of Nordic disciplines in nations that lack Nordic skiing tradition, experience and/or facilities.
During the week-long camp, the athletes and coaches from Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined participated in two daily training sessions which featured jumping and technical exercises to prepare for the upcoming season.
In addition, there was a variety of dryland training in sports including mountain biking, swimming and hiking.
Overall, the camp provided an excellent opportunity for athletes to participate in structured and professional training sessions.
