There is only one month left until the start of the FIS Rollerski World Cup 2018. This summer’s circuit will feature competitions in Torsby (SWE), Madona (LAT), Khanty-Mansijs (RUS) and Trento/ Val di Fiemme (ITA).
The Rollerski World Cup competition programme consists of three interval start competitions, three individual sprint competitions, three mass starts and two pursuit competitions both classic style (30%) and free technique (70%).
Torsby and Khanty-Mansijsk will be newcomer hosts for the FIS Rollerski World Cup circuit. The season highlight is expected to the final stage in Val di Fiemme Italy, which will host four races. The first race will start in Trento with a sprint and end with final climb pursuit up the famed Alpe Cermis.
Ones to Watch
Alena Prochazkova (SVK) is the defending ladies champion from the last season and will attempt to defend her overall FIS Rollerski World Cup title. Robin Norum (SWE) is certainly the favourite in the mens’s field as he has claimed the crown the last four consecutive seasons.
