FIS found out how well they really get to know each other with the USA's Sophie Caldwell and Sadie Bjornsen, Norway's Finn Hagen Krogh and Emil Iversen, Germany's Sandra Ringwald and Steffi Boehler and Canada's Devon Kershaw and Alex Harvey.
Patrick Jarvis receives Paralympic Order
The International Paralympic Committee announced that Canadian Patrick Jarvis, currently Executive Director of Canada Snowboard has been awarded the Paralympic Order. The Paralympic Order recognises someone who exemplifies the Paralympic ideals and is the highest honour a person connected to the Paralympic Movement can receive. Jarvis competed at the Barcelona 1992 Paralympic Games and has worked with the IPC and Canadian Paralympic Committee in various administrative and leadership roles for nearly 30 years.
FIS Council Member Dean Gosper visits 2019 FIS Freestyle and Snowboard World Championship sites
FIS Council member and Chair of the FIS Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski Committee, Dean Gosper, recently completed a site inspection at Park City Mountain, Deer Valley Resort (USA) and Solitude which will host the FIS Freestyle and Snowboard World Championships in 2019.
Together with the Head of the 2019 World Championships Organising Committee Calum Clark, Gosper visited the venues and met with leadership of each of the three host resorts.
