Many national teams changed their head coaches after the Olympic season. Since May, Evgeniy Plekhov has been the head coach of the Russian team. He and his new assistant Alexandr Garanin will prepare the team for the upcoming Summer Grand Prix season. Manuel Osborne Paradis is one of the most experience Canadain alpine skiers. With 11 World Cup podiums, three World Cup wins, a medal at World Championships, he is the first Canadian athlete to claim World Cup victories in both super-G and downhill.
