Following the Nations’ Team Event on 14th
February, the Right to Play and Passion Schneesport Charity Race took place at the St. Moritz 2017 stadium under sunny skies. 20 teams entered the event to support Right To Play, the international charity partner of FIS, together with Passion Schneesport, the national charity partner of the race.
The participating teams featured organisations such as Audi, Longines, Swiss-Ski, FIS and many other Organisers and Partners.
Within these teams were several legends, both male and female, including Kjetil André Aamodt (NOR), Roland Collombin (SUI), Marc Girardelli (LUX), Fränzi Aufdenblatten, Marc Berthod, Didier Cuche, Bernhard Russi, Paul Accola, (all SUI) Marco Büchel, Hanni Weirather-Wenzel (both LIE) and Harti Weirather (AUT), Bruno Kernen and Patrick Küng (both SUI).
In the end, it was the team form Bansko (BUL), with Marc Girardelli, Kilian Albrecht, Stefan Gregoriev and Georgi Bobev who were the fastest in the parallel slalom on the St. Moritz 2017 Championship course, followed by the FIS team in second place.
The funds raised through the event will benefit Right To Play and Passion Schneesport to help children build essential life skills and better futures through sports.
