Road to PyeongChang 2018 – Flashback to Sochi 2014

With the countdown clock ticking towards the start of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang (KOR), FIS Newsflash in collaboration with the Olympic Channel re-lives the most memorable moments from the past Games in Sochi (RUS).

The biggest surprise of the Games in Nordic Combined was 22-year-old Jørgen Graabak (NOR) taking the gold in the Individual Gundersen competition from the large hill without ever having won a Continental or World Cup event before.

Two days later, he led the Norwegian squad to a gold medal in the team event, making him a double gold medallist in his Olympic debut. Following their success, the Norwegian quartet ran up the ski jump and did a belly slide down.
